The Schecher Group’s first company was SIR SERVICES-NY
It all started back in 1987 when Richard J. Schecher, Sr and Kikis A. Kyriacou became business partners by starting a New York City Insurance Brokerage Firm and decided to rent their first office on the 79th Floor of the World Trade Center in NYC. The business model created by Richard Sr included starting the Insurance Brokerage business from one of the most prestigious addresses in the World - One World Trade Center, Suit 7967.
SIR SERVICES-NY started operations from the 79th Floor of the World Trade Center back in 1987 where the corporate offices remained on the 79th Floor of One World Trade Center from 1987 until the Tragic Day on 911. Today, SIR has moved its corporate offices to Wall Street and has maintained its main administrative and underwriting offices at Craig Corporate Center in Manalapan, New Jersey.
SIR SERVICES-NY has been servicing the needs of the NYC Landlord since 1897 and remains one of the largest continuous running Insurance Programs in NYC today.
